It's Evolution

You cannot design life. You can only change the world it lives in.

It's Evolution starts in the ocean of a randomly generated planet, with single cells whose heritable traits mutate as they divide. You never edit them. You shape their world (nutrients, temperature, storms, currents, ridges, vents) and natural selection does the rest. Every intervention costs Influence, which refills slowly. Extinction is real; you can rewind, but history never repeats exactly.

What's new in v0.3

• Era 2, the multicellular ocean: your Era 1 lineage founds a world of bodies with heritable plans (size, cells that stop reproducing, motility, armour, senses, digestion, photosynthesis, signalling). Grazers, hunters and producers form food webs; species split and go extinct.
• Oxygen matters: producers raise it, and big, active hunters only persist once the ocean is oxygenated.
• Two ways to finish Era 2: a first nervous system, or an arms race between hunters and prey.
• New planet-wide levers: Shallow sea, Weathering pulse, Ice age, and a selective Impact.
• A guide for your first minutes, a Next goal card that shows how close you are, lever cards that say what each lever does to life, a Help page, and a chronicle that explains why species rose or vanished.

The science

Heritable variation plus differential reproduction, with costs for every trait and real mechanisms behind each rule (body-size scaling, germ and soma, predator gape limits, oxygen and the Cambrian). Where the game simplifies, the Science tab says so.
